Brinkley, a soft coated Wheaten Terrier and Eccles the Border Terrier, led a group of Wiltshire ‘oldies’ on their quest to walk to the White Horses of Wiltshire, supporting Hope for Tomorrow Global.
Brinkley and Eccles lead the way.
They raised an astonishing £6000 to give the gift of education to around 200 Burundian children, who are among the poorest of the poor, as part of its drive for positive change in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Primary Education is free in Burundi, but children cannot attend school unless they have a school uniform, including shoes, plus books and stationery. Sometimes they even have to provide a chair or contribute towards other costs such as the teacher’s salary too. In the communities Hope for Tomorrow Global is working in, on average it costs around £20 to send each child to school.

Gift of Education
- Education is one of the keys to breaking the cycle of poverty.
- On average, £30 is all it takes to for a primary-aged child to be able to attend school – that’s for a whole year!
